We have been so busy in 2nd class since we returned to schoo
l in September. From gymnastics, maths week and science week- we have been very busy bees.
Gymnastics
We began our year with six weeks of gymnastics. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Shauna and the team and improved our skills each week, practising our Teddy Bear rolls to Somersaults.
Our Classroom
Our classroom is an inviting, warm and positive space where we all feel safe and welcomed. Have a look inside the doors of 2nd class where we learn through games, action and group work. We are particularly enjoying our maths card games which help us to learn our maths facts. Another firm favourite is ZAP! which we play to practise our Irish verbs!
Our Artwork
We are so proud of the artwork which we create each week. We created beautiful autumn trees, haunted houses and pumpkins over the last few weeks.
Our Calm Corner
We are particularly proud of our recent creations which are Water Lillies. These were inspired by the work of Claude Monet’s ‘Water Lillies’.
Science Week
We had an action-filled science week which involved creating our own volcanoes, growing grass heads and making Cloud Slime!
We are so excited for Anti-Bullying Week next week and the build up to Christmas over the coming weeks!
