November
Fourth, fifth and sixth class did a mini Scientist exhibition.
We spent six weeks working on our projects. We split into groups, thought of ideas and then worked together to research our ideas. We went to each other’s houses to get the work done. Some of us made models, some of us did experiments and some of us did surveys. We wrote a project book and created posters to show what we had done.
On the 24th of November, we had our exhibition. We all set up our projects in the hall and were visited by various people.
Three Intel judges came around to all the projects and posters. We had to present our projects to the judges. We also showed our projects to the other classes and to parents at the end of the day.
Our class did very well and the overall winners were James Mangan, Jamie Maughan and Andrew Moore with their project “Special Spinach”. They went on to the next round of the competition. Other winners in our class were Ava Kelly and Katie Langan who did their project on Acids and Bases.
We had a great time doing the Intel Mini-Scientist exhibition in our school and we all worked very hard on our projects. Thank you to all the Intel Mini-Scientist judges and to all the classes for coming and seeing our projects!
