Amazing Ardclough!

 

Over the last three weeks, 3rd class have been working on a project in groups. We have been learning all about our village Ardclough.

First, we began the designing stage. We decided in groups what landmarks in the village we wanted to focus on building. We researched the area on our chrome books. We used Google Earth to gather all the information we needed to begin designing our structures.

Next, we collected recycled materials from home and school. We discussed what materials would work well for particular parts of the build.

Finally, we started constructing the buildings and important areas in our village, Ardclough. Group one made our school, group two created the church, group three the GAA club and pitches, group four made the canal and group five made Mrs. Buggy’s shop.

We invited other classes in the school and parents to come to Room 12 and look at our fantastic work.

We are delighted with how our model village turned out!
