Dear parents and students,
I hope you are all enjoying your mid-term break.
Firstly a note to say well done on all that you have done over the past weeks since we came back. Nobody was sure of what the return to school would bring but I am delighted to say that it has been a joy to see you all back, safe and sound. Thank you for all your co-operation in keeping distance and observing all the routines for washing, sanitising etc and to parents, thank you for your support in keeping the car park flowing smoothly.
The week up to mid-term was an exciting one with lots of entries to the school art competition. The hall became a gallery for those days with beautiful, creative work on display. I was really impressed with the standard of the entries, from the 3-D models, to the baking and of course the lovely drawings and paintings too. Well done to all our artists!
The Hallowe’en dress-up day also brought the children’s creativity to the fore. Classes took part in a virtual parade, with each class showing their costumes in their own classroom while the other classes watched it on screen. You can see a snapshot of the art work and the costumes in the video below created by Mr O Leary- I’m sure you will enjoy it.
Some reminders: If you have a chance over the week to send in the Wellbeing survey (children’s responses) we would be grateful. Also the PSG clothes collection will be on on our week back. November usually bring parent teacher meetings- we are awaiting an update from the Department on how best to run same and will revert to you as soon as possible on this.
So I hope that the mid-term brings lots of opportunities to get out into the fresh air. While you may not be able to trick or treat in the usual way, I’m sure you will have some fun on Halloween night.
Stay safe everyone and we will see you in November.
