We had a fantastic day in Clara Lara with the sun shining and plenty of fun activities to enjoy. A great day was had by all.

Both 5th classes had a fantastic day out in Croke Park today where we enjoyed a guided tour of the stadium and learned about the history of Croke Park in the GAA museum. We really enjoyed the day.                                                

Our school decided to take park in the Creative February initiative this year. We created unique hats from a variety of different materials and had a crazy hat parade to celebrate and enjoy our pieces of art. We had lots of fun with this and 5th class came up with some very interesting designs!  

We were so excited to go to Tayto Park on our school tour this year! We enjoyed a tour to see all of the animals in Tayto park first, we had lunch and then took on some of the rollercoasters and rides. We had an absolute blast!!

Have a look at our colourful and creative hot air balloons! We created these flowers using chalk pastels. First we drew the outline of the flower in pencil, then we outlined it using a black oil pastel to help keep our colours separated and finally we used a variety of colours to blend our petals. We have really enjoyed learning about the different species of animals and plants in Ireland. We got a chance to look closely at some of the insects that are local to us as well as learn a bit more about the plants and animals we are familiar with in the local area. We also got the chance to plant our own tree on the school grounds with Paddy Madden.

The boys and girls in 4th class are delighted to present their Christmas video. They worked very hard on their songs and poem. We are all very excited for Christmas here in St Anne's and we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
