Dear parents and students,
We are entering the final few weeks of term and I wish to remind and inform re some dates for your diary.
- Junior Infants: The meeting for parents of new junior infants (Sept 24) will take place this Tuesday June 11th at 7pm in the school hall. The new students will be invited to visit the school in August.
- Harvest and Salad Days: Students have been busy looking after the seeds planted earlier in the year and the fruits of their labour is now evident. Harvest day will be this week and we hope to have Salad Day on Thursday next where all will be able to sample the produce from the School Garden.
- Sports Day- Friday June 14th– Weather-permitting. More to follow re attendance at this.
- Music Concert- Thursday June 20th– to include violin recital from classes 2nd-6th, small group violin recital, School Choir performance, Music Generation performance with junior and senior infants classes) Details to follow
- Class Tours: Teachers have been in touch with you on these dates. I wish everyone an enjoyable time on tour and thanks to all parent volunteers for supervision support on these days
- 6th Class Graduation is on Thursday 27th June at 11.30am
- Violin Video– well done to our 2nd class students and all who take part in the small group violin classes. You have had a great year! A beautiful video has been produced by Maria which captures the talent of all involved. This will be uploaded to the school website shortly.
Congratulations to the PSG for the wonderful organisation of the school sponsored walk last month and to you, the parents, for your support of same. It was a great success!
I am very proud of all our students who represented St Anne’s at various levels in Cumann na mBunscoil competitions over the past few weeks. Congratulations on reaching semi-finals and finals and for taking part to such a high level.
Well done to our 2nd class students who received their First Communion in May. You were a credit to your teachers and families. Thanks to all who participated in the ceremony, particularly the members of the School Choir.
A note re Booklist for 24/25: The Department of Education grant for school books is available to schools again this year. This means that the school will organise textbooks and some stationery items for students. A list of other materials and costs (eg insurance, photocopying etc) will be available on the school website shortly.
