In November, we held our Student Council Elections.
Children from every class from first to sixth made the brave decision to run in our elections and then they told their classes what they would do to help the class and school if elected.
On Friday 29th November, the same day as the General Election, we held our own elections. Children gave a number 1 to their favourite candidate, number 2 to their next favourite etc, just like in the General Election. At the end of the election, the votes were counted and one boy and one girl were elected from each class.
Our class helped to make sure the elections went well by ticking everyone’s name, stamping and giving out ballot papers, and making sure everyone voted in the correct box.
Huge congratulations to everyone who put their name forward to be a candidate. It is great to see so many children interested in working to make the school a better place.
Below are some pictures from the day.
