November 2015
In November, we learned about Michelangelo and all his inventions. We were focusing on the paintings he painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Mr. O’Leary came up with an idea to paint a picture like Michelangelo did. We stuck an A3 page underneath our tables. It was to show us how difficult it was to paint while lying on your back.
We all painted our favourite pictures from the Old Testament. We sketched our ideas on A4 pages just to see how they looked.
There were loads of different pictures, but some were from the same story. The most popular one was Noah’s Ark. We found out that it is very difficult and sore to paint on our backs.
The paintings turned out really well. All the paintings were very different and it was lots of fun painting them.
