Rugby training

by Aisling Phillips & Daniel Saunders

January 2016

Two people named Gareth and Leo came in to teach us how to play tag rugby. They came in every Monday for four weeks. To warm up we played stuck in the mud. Then he would divide us into groups of four. Then we would play a match.

The matches were about five minutes long.

RULES:

  • You cannot pass the ball forward.
  • If someone pulls your tag off you will have to stop and pass it to someone on the same team as you.
  • If you get five tags it is a turn over.
  • A girl’s try is worth three points and a boy’s try is only worth one point.
  • Whoever has the most points at the end of all their game are the winners.

I think that everybody in our class enjoyed playing this and we think that you should play it some time.
