This year we made a Christmas village for our Christmas art project. It took four days to create.
First, we brainstormed ideas and put ourselves into 5 different groups. These were Builders, Landscapers, Engineers, Electricians and Artists.
On the second day we started building and getting the layout right. The artists painted the backdrop and the Landscapers set out the train tracks and designed the layout. The Engineers built the mountain out of cardboard boxes and then covered it with papier mache. The builders began creating houses for the village and the Electricians started making a lighting plan.
On the third day it started to come into shape. The landscapers painted the ground, the engineers finish painting the mountain and the electricians started to connect the lights. The builders were nearly finished all the houses.
Finally, on the fourth day it was just about adding the final touches. The builders had to make the roofs and finish the church, the artists were making more people and the landscapers were adding trees and snow while the electricians were putting in the lights.
We were delighted when it was finished. We never thought the outcome would be this good.
Merry Christmas from all of sixth class!!
