Christmas Greetings

Dear parents and students,

It has lovely to see such excitement here in St Anne’s over the past days as everyone looks forward to Christmas Day. A lot of beautiful Christmas art has been made, Christmas prayers said, visits to Santa in the village, watching the panto online and so on.

The children have put great effort into sending you their Christmas performance (see Class News section on the website for videos) which I know you and your wider family will enjoy.

As we come to the end of term one, I wish to express my thanks to a number of people:

To our wonderful caretaker, Tony, and our great secretary, Nora, a special thanks for all that you do in helping staff, children and parents.

To the PSG Committee and wider PSG group- your support over past months has been fantastic. Thanks for all that you have organised for the children, for the fund-raising events that will mean we can progress some plans and indeed just for your positive and pro-active approach to making things happen for St Anne’s.

To the Board of Management who work behind the scenes keeping everything afloat in St Anne’s, thank you!

We have received some lovely messages of thanks from you in recent days. Both myself and the staff wish to thank you for taking the time to send these messages and for the very generous gifts too. I think the parents of Ardclough should pat themselves on the back to for all that you have done in supporting your children in recent months- well done all!

We have an amazing staff of teachers and SNAs who have worked tirelessly over the past months to support and encourage our students. I wish to acknowledge their commitment, especially in these difficult times and to thank them for their professionalism and support.

Finally, I want to thank our wonderful students. To each and every one of you, WELL DONE. You have adhered to new routines and regulations so well this term and I want to tell you that I am proud of you all. Know that you bring great joy to me, from meeting you in the mornings in the car park to when you go home in the evenings. I can see how you have grown and progressed even in those short months and I know you will continue to do so over the rest of the year.

So I wish you all every peace and joy for Christmas. I hope that you get to have family time in whatever format is possible.

I look forward to meeting you all in 2021. May it be a year of hope and promise of good times ahead.

Every good wish and God’s blessing,

Mary Manley
