As part of a national campaign, the Air Force asked us to form the letters GRMA to say Go Raibh Maith Agat to all the teachers and staff around the country for keeping us safe. We went outside on the 1st of December to practise forming the letters. Sixth class were making the letter G.
The next day the air force came to film us. Everybody went to the field and made the letters. Next, we all saw a helicopter flying overhead, taking pictures and filming from above. We were very cold outside but it was worth it because the pictures turned out great!
We were all very excited because on Friday 11th December, we were on national TV and RTE also tweeted the film of the day. Here it is!
Go raibh maith agaibh go léir. Thank you for the work you do every day in these difficult times. How will you say #GRMA to your teachers and all the staff in your school communities tomorrow Dec 11th? @IrishAirCorps have set the bar high! @NAPD_IE @IPPN_Education @JA_Irl @rte pic.twitter.com/1nwH1ET7Hd
