Halloween Costumes

by Grace, Isabella, James, Katie & Tom October 2017 This year for Halloween we dressed up in various costumes. Most were scary but some were creative. Our teacher dressed up as Batman. Here are our costumes!             Later we went down to the hall. All the classes showed off their costumes. After that we had a scary break. On break we watched the Thriller video. We would say the best costume was a person who dressed up as a coffin. We think the best costume in our class w...

Halloween Art

by Evan, Tessa, Ava, Jamie, Holly & Luke October 2017 This year, for our Halloween art we did spooky silhouettes. First we had to paint the background either blue or orange and red. We had to wait for them to dry.       The next day we had to paint scary silhouettes on top. Some people used Halloween decorations as stencils and some people painted freehand. Some people painted witches, pumpkins, bats and haunted houses. Everyone did brilliantly.        Mr. O'Leary helped ...

After this we stuck on pieces of paper with our family names on them.              We made a...

St. Patrick’s Day

by Seán Walsh March 2017 On 16th March, we all wore green into school for St. Patrick’s Day. We all gathered in the hall and paraded around the school. The leaders of the parade had a bodhrán and a tin whistle. We went around the school twice and then back inside. After that, we did Irish dancing in the hall with a woman named Natalie. She taught us dances such as the walls of Limerick. When we were finished we made little green leprechaun hats.

The Christmas Truce

by Jack Caffrey, Anna Donohoe and Síofra Power December 2016 In late November our teacher Mr O’ Leary started discussing a Christmas play with us. We decided to base the play on the Christmas Truce during World War 1, 1914 and brainstormed some ideas. However, it was not easy to do and we are going go tell you how we produced the Christmas Truce play. We divided in groups to do various jobs such as creating the backdrop, making and getting props, finding costumes and writing the s...
