October 2016
In October, we did paintings in the style of Michelangelo like the ones he did in the Sistine Chapel. At the time, we were learning about the Renaissance and the changes in art in that time. We stuck paper to the underside of our desks and lay down on the ground.
We then painted over our heads to experience how hard it was for Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel while lying on his back painting upwards. We put n...

For one of our class projects we made maps of our local area. Every group did a different map. We marked our houses and did the map based on the location of our houses. We printed small maps of the area and drew a grid on them using scale.
Then we made a bigger map, instead of printing it out we made it ourselves. We used 8 A3 sheets stuck together. Then we did maths to work out how to make a grid on these maps. For exam...

We did African dancing on 4th December 2015. A lady came into our school to teach us. The dancing was based on the work the people do, such as the men walking down the beach to work in the morning.
The girls stuck their arms out and the boys put their arms in, then we clapped twice and then flapped our arms back and forward. Then we did the action of digging, and then rolled our arms and then put two arms in the air and one foot up.
We w...
