Events for Week Oct 8th 2018

Sport Updates

–        We are awaiting confirmation of a number of match fixtures (and related training) and will send on information to relevant children as soon as possible

–        Hurling training with Jason Coffey resumes on Thursday for senior infant and 1st classes (thanks to Ardclough GAA for arranging this!)

Violin:

Our classes with Maria Mason continue this week for classes 2nd to 5th.

A gentle reminder to all to send in subscription at your convenience- we need everyone’s contribution to ensure that we can run the programme

Swimming:

Third classes continue with their swimming lessons on Mondays

Maths Week:

Maths week runs from October 13th-21st across the country

In St Anne’s some classes will be going on maths trails in the locality (notes to follow on this)

We will hold a number of events in the school also. Watch out for the daily Problems to be Solved!

6th class Clubs

6th class Clubs continue on Wednesdays at lunch time.

Students’ Council

Elections for the Students’ Council took place recently. Congratulations to all who were elected; I look forward to working with you and to hearing your new ideas!

Special thanks to all who were on the Council last year for the work that they did and the great suggestions that were discussed. Also thanks to everyone who put their name forward for election this year- it shows great interest in developing yourselves and our school so well done!

Enrolment Mass

The Enrolment Mass for children in 2nd class who will be making the First Communion this year will be on this Sunday , Oct 7th at 9.30am

Date for the Diary

A reminder that the school will be closed on Oct 19th for staff in-service. The school will not be closed on election day

Lego Club

Well done to all who are attending Ms Malone’s Lego Club- amazing constructions are being created there (see website for photos)
