October 2017
At Halloween we decided to learn a scary dance. It was “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
We watched videos and practised what we saw. It wasn't too hard because we learned it in a day.
The next day Jamie filmed our class when we were in our costumes.
We had a lot of fun doing the Thriller dance with our class at Halloween and here’s our video:

Halloween Costumes
by Grace, Isabella, James, Katie & Tom
October 2017
This year for Halloween we dressed up in various costumes. Most were scary but some were creative. Our teacher dressed up as Batman. Here are our costumes!
Later we went down to the hall. All the classes showed off their costumes. After that we had a scary break. On break we watched the Thriller video. We would say the best costume was a person who dressed up as a coffin. We think the best costume in our class w...

Halloween Art
by Evan, Tessa, Ava, Jamie, Holly & Luke
October 2017
This year, for our Halloween art we did spooky silhouettes. First we had to paint the background either blue or orange and red. We had to wait for them to dry.
The next day we had to paint scary silhouettes on top. Some people used Halloween decorations as stencils and some people painted freehand. Some people painted witches, pumpkins, bats and haunted houses. Everyone did brilliantly.
Mr. O'Leary helped ...

September 2017
This year we did a family tree. First we had to find out about our families. We got a sheet that we filled in naming our parents, grandparents, and grandparents. We learned lots about where they were from and what they did for a living.
When we had this information, we painted a tree on an A3 piece of paper. After this we stuck on pieces of paper with our family names on them.
We made a...

Rugby
For 4 weeks, we did tag rugby with Gareth. We did lots of games and drills. There were four different teams each week. Two played against each other while the others watched and supported. There were pink and yellow tags and a Velcro belt that you stuck the tags on. We had lots of fun and it was very enjoyable. Here are some pictures:

St. Patrick’s Day
by Seán Walsh
March 2017
On 16th March, we all wore green into school for St. Patrick’s Day. We all gathered in the hall and paraded around the school. The leaders of the parade had a bodhrán and a tin whistle. We went around the school twice and then back inside. After that, we did Irish dancing in the hall with a woman named Natalie. She taught us dances such as the walls of Limerick. When we were finished we made little green leprechaun hats.

Over the last few years, Mr. O’Leary our teacher has entered our school into a quiz competition in Newbridge. At the start of this year, our chess teacher, Ms. Killeen entered us into a chess tournament in Kildare. We were put into a group which consisted of schools from Straffan, St. David’s and Staplestown. Our first match was against Straffan, who are known for their chess.
Early in December, we travelled to Straffan to play them.
When we arrived in their school hall they had their chess boards ready and were ready to play...
