Have a look at our colourful and creative hot air balloons!
We created these flowers using chalk pastels. First we drew the outline of the flower in pencil, then we outlined it using a black oil pastel to help keep our colours separated and finally we used a variety of colours to blend our petals. From far away they look dark but up close you can see all of the colours and details.
We also enjoyed creating these sea turtle pictures - We used oil pastels and paint for our backgr...

Biodiversity with Paddy Madden / Tree Planting
We have really enjoyed learning about the different species of animals and plants in Ireland. We got a chance to look closely at some of the insects that are local to us as well as learn a bit more about the plants and animals we are familiar with in the local area. We also got the chance to plant our own tree on the school grounds with Paddy Madden.

Sponsored Walk 2022
Sponsored Walk
Last Thursday (12th of May), all of the staff and students from St. Anne's partook in a Sponsored Walk along the canal. We took a few minutes to rest and eat our snack before heading back to the school. We met lots of people on our trip, including a Guard and some helpers who made sure we were s...

Using our weighing sc...

Over the past few weeks, Senior Infants have been exploring 'The Weather' across the curriculum. Take a look at some of the fantastic things we have been up to!
At the beginning of the month, we went on a Weather Hunt in search of signs of Winter. We found frosty grass and icy leaves. We watched as the sun melted the frost right in front of our eyes! It was great fun!
After watching the frost melt, we wondered if we could do something to keep the fun frost ar...
