Summer Art

Have a look at our colourful and creative hot air balloons! We created these flowers using chalk pastels. First we drew the outline of the flower in pencil, then we outlined it using a black oil pastel to help keep our colours separated and finally we used a variety of colours to blend our petals. From far away they look dark but up close you can see all of the colours and details. We also enjoyed creating these sea turtle pictures - We used oil pastels and paint for our backgr...

Sponsored Walk 2022

Sponsored Walk Last Thursday (12th of May), all of the staff and students from St. Anne's partook in a Sponsored Walk along the canal. We took a few minutes to rest and eat our snack before heading back to the school. We met lots of people on our trip, including a Guard and some helpers who made sure we were s...

Pancake Tuesday

Pancake Tuesday On Pancake Tuesday, we decided to make (and eat!) some yummy pancakes! As a class, we talked about the day itself - why we make pancakes, and what the day signifies in the lead up to Lent. We then had to figure out what ingredients and equipment we would need to make the pancakes. We looked at a recipe as Gaeilge, and used our foclóir nua to collect all of our ingredients. We washed our hands and rolled up our sleeves.                                Using our weighing sc...

We watched as the sun melted the frost right in front of our eyes! It was great fun!           After watching the frost melt, we wondered if we could do something to keep the fun frost ar...
