In October, we began to work with Chromebooks and Lego We Do.
After going through a few lessons, Mr O’Leary gave us a challenge. He wanted us in our groups to design and create a vehicle capable of taking part in a race. There were several tutorials available to help us and we all tried to create the vehicle which would give us the best chance of winning. Once we had built the model, we then had to use a programme on the Chromebooks to tell the Lego what to do. We had to decide how to start and stop the vehicle, what speed to travel at etc.
After much testing, we moved to the corridor for the big race. One person was given the job of programming the vehicle and everyone else stood at the finish line. Below you can see the race (which was very dramatic!)
