Aistear-The Zoo
Teacher Artist Partnership Project
4th Class have been working with writer Juliette Saumande to develop a creative project based on the Sun, Moon and stars, as part of the Dublin West Education Centre funded Teacher Artist Partnership project. So far we've written sun poetry, explored our galaxy through drama activities, explored locations all over the planet using ICT, created lunar self-portraits and explored linking colours to emotions.

We made Valentines art this week. We made clay hearts by coiling the clay together. We left them to dry and then picked colours to paint them.
We also made Valentines cards for our parents.

Basketball League 2020

January 2020
In January, we started the second St. Anne's Basketball League. Children from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes were divided into sixteen teams and these teams were split into four groups.
Each team played three games and at the end of each group the teams were put into a large league table of all 16 teams. The best teams were at the top and the teams with the least points were at the bottom. Daniel Neville from 4th class was the top scorer with 24 points!

The Christmas Village

This year we made a Christmas village for our Christmas art project. It took four days to create.
First, we brainstormed ideas and put ourselves into 5 different groups. These were Builders, Landscapers, Engineers, Electricians and Artists.
